July 2: MAMMA MIA! starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård. A bride-to-be in Greece attempts to solve the mystery of her paternity by reading her mother's diary. Based on the popular ABBA-inspired stage musical. 2008. Rated PG-13. Runtime 108 minutes.

 

July 9: BEACH PARTY with Bob Cummings, Dorothy Malone, Annette Funicello, Frankie Avalon, Harvey Lembeck. An anthropologist studying the sex habits of American teenagers visits a beach town where the local teens dance to rock and roll and showdown with greasers.  1963. Rated TV-G. Runtime 104 minutes.

 

July 16: SIX DAYS, SEVEN NIGHTS featuring Harrison Ford, Anne Heche, David Schwimmer, Jacqueline Obradors, Temuera Morrison. A Manhattan magazine editor is stranded on a Polynesian island with a rough-hewn cargo pilot when a storm grounds their plane.  1998. Rated PG-13. Runtime 101 minutes.

 

July 23: NIGHTS IN RODANTHE starring Diane Lane, Richard Gere, Christopher Meloni, Viola Davis, Scott Glenn. An unhappily married woman retreats to an inn on the North Carolina coast, where she meets a doctor who's struggling with his own crisis of conscience. Based on Nicholas Sparks' best-selling novel. 2008. Rated PG-13. Runtime 97 minutes.

 

July 30: THE WAY WAY BACK with Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney, Liam James, Sam Rockwell.  An introverted teen named Duncan forms an unlikely friendship with the happy-go-lucky manager of a water park. As the summer progresses, the shy young man slowly finds his niche in the community.  2013. Rated PG-13. Runtime 96 minutes.

August 6: Journey of August King starring Jason Patric, Thandie Newton, Larry Drake, Sam Waterston, and Nesbitt Blaisdell.
Adaptation of John Ehle's 1971 novel about a farmer who aids a runaway slave in 19th-century North Carolina. 1995. Rated PG-13. Runtime 90 minutes.

 

August 13: August Rush with Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Terrence Howard, and William Sadler.
A 12-year-old prodigy heads to New York City to find and reunite with the musician parents who abandoned him as a baby.  2007. Rated PG. Runtime 114 minutes.


August 20: Whales of August featuring Lillian Gish, Bette Davis, Ann Sothern, Vincent Price, and Harry Carey Jr.
Two elderly sisters spend their summer in Maine as they reflect on the lives they have lived. Differing in personality, they bond over the loss of their husbands—until the arrival of a local fisherman threatens to rehash the past. 1987. Rated TV-PG. Runtime 90 minutes.

September 3: Arthur The King

September 10: Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare. 2024.Rated R. Runtime 120 minutes. September 17: The Fall Guy
He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. September 24: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an army of ghosts that casts a death chill upon the city, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
